Venezuelan Ambassador to Iran Carlos Antonio Alcala Cordones expressed his condemnation against his country's money being blocked by the United States, during a press conference in Tehran, on Wednesday.
The Venezuelan Ambassador said that «the amount [of the blockade] already reached approximately $30 billion in the different accounts managed by the Government of the Bolivarian Republic of... Еще Venezuela in the international financial system.»
Carlos Antonio Alcala Cordones stressed that «in the event of an aggression on the part of the US armed forces or any of the allied countries, we will give a logical and timely response.»
He did not exclude peace talks, and said that Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro «is willing to sit down to dialogue» with American President Donald Trump, but on the condition that it is a dialogue «of equals to equals.»
Venezuela has been in political crisis since January 23, when opposition leader Juan Guaido declared himself «interim-president» in a move now recognised by over 50 countries including the United States and the European Union.
