Iran: Supreme Leader vows response to any 'wrong move' on JCPOA

Supreme Leader of Iran Ayatollah Ali Khamenei vowed a response from the Iranian nation to any «wrong move» from the USA regarding the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) between Iran and P5+1 countries during a cadet graduation ceremony in capital Tehran, Sunday. «The Iranian nation is standing firm, and any wrong move by the hegemonic system concerning the JCPOA will provoke a reaction from the Islamic Republic,» said the leader at a graduation ceremony of Iran's police cadets. He went on to label America's reaction to recent negotiations as «completely brazen, cruel and dictatorial.» The Supreme Leader's comments come days after US President Donald Trump accused Iran of violating the «spirit» of the 2015 Iran nuclear deal. Washington granted the Islamic nation some sanctions relief on Thursday, however Trump also implied that he may rescind the agreement. The US President is expected to decide by mid-October whether Iran is complying with the JCPOA and if sanctions should be imposed again.
