Iran: Parliament votes for missile funding boost in US sanctions retaliation bill

Iran’s national Parliament voted overwhelmingly to pass a bill of countermeasures against new US sanctions, in Tehran on Sunday. Part of the legislation calls for increased funding for the country's missile programme and for the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps. The bill is aimed at confronting «America's terrorist and adventurous actions» in the region, according to the text of the bill. The... Еще bill also includes Iran’s countermeasure plans for any moves that undermine the implementation of Iran’s nuclear deal, the JCPOA (Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action). «If America exits from JCPOA, it will cost them,» said Masoud Goodarzi, a member of the national security and foreign policy commission in the Iranian Parliament.
