No casualties were reported after an explosion occurred at a power plant in Eslamabad, Isafhan Province on Sunday morning.
According to the managing director of the Isfahan Regional Electricity Company Rasoul Mussa Rezaei, the continuity of the energy supply was also not interrupted and the damaged components have already been replaced.
«It's not a very important incident and the [damaged] equipment is not very complicated or expensive. The spare part is available and is being replaced,» said Rezaei.
«The line between Isfahan power plant and Abshar was disconnected due to this incident, fortunately, it was reconnected immediately and debris from this incident have been cleared, now we have no problem at all,» he went on to explain.
The incident followed a recent string of mysterious explosions and fires at important Iranian sites, including a blaze at the Natanz nuclear enrichment facility, leading to a suspicion of sabotage in recent weeks.
