A new range of locally developed electric motorcycles has been manufactured and is set to hit the market in Iran.
On Sunday examples of the new vehicles were shown off at the manufacturer's facility in Shurabad, just outside Tehran.

The eco-friendly two-wheelers were developed by the BanaSharif Electric Vehicle Development Group, a joint venture between Jahanro Company and the Sharif University of Technology.
The bikes weigh around 120 kilogrammes (264 pounds), can be used by two persons and be charged via AC socket, according to BanaSaharif electrical engineer Mohammad Hassan Ameri.
