Hundreds of protesters gathered in front of Iran's Foreign Ministry in Tehran on Monday, to condemn Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif's remarks that Tehran was «still at the negotiating table» with the US during an interview on Friday.
Footage shows protesters chanting, holding signs and burning a US flag.
«We know him as the US's and the UK foreign minister, not the one of Iran,» protester... Еще Fatemeh Ramezani said about Zarif.
«We have come here to say that we do not need an idiot and betraying minister. We need a minister who defends our nation's rights against the US,» said protester Saghafi.
During an interview with Germany's Der Spiegel on Friday, Zarif was asked if after the assassination of Iran's General Qassem Soleimani he would exclude the possibility of negotiations with the US. Zarif answered that he would never exclude the possibility if the administration of US President Donald Trump could correct its past, «lift the sanctions and come back to the negotiating table.» Iran is «still at the negotiating table. They are the ones who left,» Zaif added.
