The devastating 7.3-magnitude earthquake on the Iraq-Iran border has left at least 530 people killed, with 7460 reported as injured, state news agency IRNA announced on Tuesday. Footage from the city of Sarpol-e Zahab captured the extent of the devastation left by the earthquake. Since Monday, Emergency services have been put on high alert following the deadly earthquake. Earlier today, Iranian President Hassan Rouhani visited the stricken Kermanshah province and promised that the government would «use all its power to resolve the problems in the shortest time». At least 14 provinces in Iran were affected by the quake which destroyed two whole villages, damaged 30,000 houses and left thousands of people injured. The powerful tremor struck Sunday night about 102 kilometres (64 miles) southeast of the city of Sulaymaniyah, near the Iraq-Iran border. It was felt across several parts of Iran, including the provinces of Kermanshah, Kurdistan, Ilam, West Azerbaijan and East Azerbaijan.
