Iran: 'A comedy' — FM spokesperson classes Saudi Arabia's nuclear ambitions a joke

Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Bahram Ghasemi said reports that Saudi Arabia was attempting to develop a domestic nuclear power industry amount to «a comedy,» at his weekly press conference from Tehran on Monday. “I think that we should consider [the nuclear programme of Saudi Arabia] as a comedy because Saudi Arabia doesn’t have the necessary infrastructure, technical capabilities, and... Еще manpower,» Ghasemi told journalists. The Foreign Ministry spokesperson was also optimistic that a UN resolution could allow for a ceasefire in Eastern Ghouta. “We hope that today’s resolution could be carried out and create a suitable atmosphere in order to provide humanitarian aid and help all the different regions of Syria,» he said.
