International airspace: See daring pilot fly into the eye of Hurricane Irma

Footage released by the US National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) captured a view from a Lockheed WP-3D Orion aircraft flying into the eye of Hurricane Irma. As a Category 5 storm with sustained winds of 185 miles per hour (297 kilometres per hour), Irma now ranks among the strongest Atlantic Ocean hurricanes ever recorded. Across the Caribbean islands, the hurricane has killed... Еще at least 10 people. The hurricane bore down the northeastern Caribbean islands on Tuesday, churning into Puerto Rico, Antigua and the Virgin Islands. Irma is poised to hit Florida on the weekend, with Florida Governor Rick Scott reporting that they are preparing for the storm to «directly impact the state.» Mandatory credit: Nick Underwood/NOAA
