Goats arrived for grooming treatments ahead of Eid al-Adha celebrations at an animal market in Ajibarang, as seen on Sunday.
The goats' hooves and horns were filed and cut in preparations for the festival to make them more attractive to buyers.
Salon Practitioner Suhardi said, «There are a few additional reservations for the salon for the goat for the upcoming Eid al-Adha, but goat sales have decreased a little compared to last year because of the virus pandemic.»
Eid al-Adha is an Islamic holiday celebrated worldwide to honour the willingness of Ibrahim (Abraham) to sacrifice his son to God. Just as Ibrahim was about to sacrifice him, God gave him a lamb to sacrifice instead, and Eid al-Adha commemorates this intervention. Animals are often sacrificed on the holiday to remember the offering.
