US President Donald Trump announced new agreements with India including an liquefied natural gas (LNG) export deal, as well as one on the sale of military helicopters, during a joint press conference in New Delhi on Tuesday.
«Earlier today, we expanded our defence cooperation with agreements for India to purchase more than three billion dollars of advanced american military equipment including... Еще Apache and MH-60 Romeo helicopters, the finest in the world. These deals will enhance our joint defence capabilities as our militaries continue to train and operate side-by-side,» said Trump.
The US president also explained that a deal had been reached with Exxon Mobil for the export of LNG so that the US can «export even more LNG to India» before going on to praise India-US relations as a union between two countries with «shared traditions of democracy and constitutions that protect freedom individual rights and the rule of law.»
Trump also took time to talk about security, saying that both India and the United States were committed to protecting their citizens from the threat of «radical Islamic terrorism.»
«In this effort, the United States is also working productively with Pakistan to confront terrorists who operate on its soil,» he added.
Following the joint press conference, both leaders held a question and answer session with reporters.
