India: Toxic foam covers streets in Bengaluru as lake froth heads into the city

Bengaluru’s streets were covered in white foam, on Wednesday, as the city continues to struggle with the toxic froth spilling out of the city’s lakes due to a concoction of chemicals and sewage, and carried across the city by winds. The foam has become a regular fixture in the city, carrying with it a number of chemicals from Nitrates to Sulphates leading to health problems among residents... Еще. Firefighters were at the scene, trying to contain the frothing lake which is already fenced in, from a previous attempt to curb the problem. The city’s polluted waters are such a problem that the lakes caught fire in the past.
