India: Opposition leader Gandhi casts vote in general elections in New Delhi

The President of the Indian National Congress and main opposition leader Rahul Gandhi cast his vote in the sixth round of the parliamentary elections in the New Delhi on Sunday. Gandhi, accompanied by Congress candidate for the New Delhi seat, Ajay Maken, walked to the polling station on Aurangzeb Lane, where he cast vote. Swarmed by reporters and bodyguards, Gandhi afterwards held up his inked... Еще finger declaring, «People are our boss, whatever they decide we will accept that.» Many have cited Gandhi as the key opponent for the incumbent Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the 2019 elections. The Indian general election is possibly the largest democratic election in history with more than 900 million Indians eligible to vote. The seven rounds of voting conclude on May 19 and the results will be announced on May 23.
