Military vehicles were filmed on Wednesday heading away from Srinagar and in the direction of Ladakh, where several Indian soldiers were killed during clashes with Chinese forces on the border of the disputed Kashmir region on Monday night.
On Monday, at least 20 Indian soldiers, including a high-ranking officer, were killed after clashing with Chinese forces at the Chinese-Indian border in Ladakh.
The Indian Army confirmed the number of deaths in a statement. A large number of Indian military forces were seen patrolling the Srinagar Leh motorway in Ladakh on Wednesday.
The conflict follows escalating tensions in the disputed region of Kashmir, which has been the subject of dispute between India, Pakistan, and China since 1947. Chinese and Indian governments are reportedly discussing conflict de-escalation at the border in Eastern Ladakh after weeks of tensions and military stand-off escalated into the first deadly incident on the Chinese-Indian border in 45 years.
