Four elephants were killed after being run over by a speeding train in eastern India's Jharsuguda district on Monday. The herd comprised of a tusker, two female elephants and a calf. Reports say the impact of the collision was so severe that the carcasses of the four elephants were found at least 30 feet (360 inches) away from the tracks.
