India: Engineless train rolls for 12 km with 1,000 passengers onboard

22 passenger carriages carrying about 1,000 people detached from a train engine and sped backwards for some 12 kilometres (7.45 miles) before being brought to a halt, in the Indian state of Odisha on Sunday. The runaway train was reportedly travelling from the western state of Gujarat and was stopped after the railway staff placed rocks on the tracks.
