Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban has called Central Europe “The last migrant-free zone in Europe” at commemorations marking the 61 anniversary of the 1956 Hungarian uprising in Budapest on Monday.
Orban, who has long opposed the EU’s refugee quota plans, told Hungarians to “join forces” with other Central European states that have also sought to reject EU attempts at a refugee distribution... Еще scheme, and “behave as proud nations did.”
The 1956 Hungarian uprising marks the Soviet invasion that led to 200,000 Hungarian refugees fleeing across the West.
