Over 200 skiing and snowboarding Saint Nicks hit the slopes of Sunday River ski resort in the tiny western Maine town of Newry on Sunday, during the annual charity event known as Santa Sunday.
To participate in the 19th edition of the event, people had to pay a $20 donation and wear full Santa garb, including the characteristic red outfit, hat and white beard.
«Great, it was great. The energy... Еще in the crowds was phenomenal. I mean seriously it's the most magical day of the year,» said one participant, Karren.
«Everybody was super exited when they came in, because look at the snow, it's absolutely amazing this year,» commented Sunday River Director of Events Caroline Ochtera.
All proceeds from the event — a record-breaking $4,000 this year — went to The River Fund, which supports community-focused efforts in the Sunday River region.
