Lara Croft is an abstract and invented character, so I am not offended by such a comparison.” She is the current champion of practical shooting in Kazakhstan, a certified shooting instructor, sports judge and vice president of the IPSC [International Practical Shooting Practice Corps] of Kazakhstan. “Shooting for me has become more like another world and a different lifestyle,” Anna said. A couple of years ago she received an invitation from the Russian Special Forces University and now, as a senior instructor, she trains elite special units. “I never thought that this hobby was unusual for me. Because I grew up among boys, I did not grow up as a girl, my hobbies were always uncharacteristic,” she said. “Guys usually do not ask why you started shooting. [To them] it seems rather natural. For me, who grew up among guys, it also seems to be something natural,” Anna concluded.
