Thousands of people flooded the streets of Hong Kong on Sunday, to oppose the government's proposed extradition bill, which would allow suspects to be sent to mainland China to face trial.
Protesters marched through the streets of Hong Kong, many dressed in white, carrying banners and placards reading 'No extradition to China.'
The protest organisers claim that some 1,030,000 people have... Еще participated in the march, making it one of the largest rallies in the past three decades. However, according to police, there were 240,000 people «at its peak.»
Critics fear that the proposed bill would undermine the city's rule of law and leave many vulnerable to extradition to China for political crimes.
