Police officers shoved a Ruptly producer while he was trying to cover the ongoing extradition bill protests in Hong Kong on Sunday.
Footage shows police officers shouting and blocking the producer’s camera as he attempted to film protesters being arrested. One officer can be seen repeatedly pushing the producer with his shield, and finally several officers forcing him away, telling him to leave... Еще, and forming a line to prevent him from getting any closer.
Demonstrations against the extradition bill which would allow people to be extradited to the mainland China to face trial have been taking place since the end of March.
Although the bill has since been suspended, the largely youth-led protests have continued with protesters calling for it to be withdrawn entirely and for Hong Kong's Chief Executive Carrie Lam to step down.
