Clashes broke out between police and protesters after a peaceful march against Chinese parallel traders took place in Sheung Shui on Saturday.
Footage shows police and protesters pushing and shouting at each other next to the Sheung Shui train station. Demonstrators threw objects at the police and used umbrellas to protect themselves against police's batons and pepper spray.
Injured protesters... Еще were seen receiving first aid after the clashes.
According to reports, protesters complained about Chinese visitors and illegal traders that allegedly buy local products and resell it in the Mainland at a higher price. They claim that Hong Kong’s government is turning a blind eye to the situation.
«Sheung Shui belongs to Hong Kong. Today we claim it back,» said Leung Kam Shing, organiser of the march.
