Activists and union members held a protest in Hong Kong's Mong Kok area on Friday, despite a ban on gatherings imposed amid the coronavirus pandemic. Footage shows police forces trying to disperse the protesters.
Lee Cheuk Yan, general secretary of HKCTU, denied the activists were in breach of the law and blamed police for «abusing their power» and preventing people from «expressing their voice... Еще.»
Last year, Hong Kong has been swept by anti-government protest in opposition to a now scrapped plan to allow extraditions to mainland China.
Friday's rally was organised by pro-democracy unions to mark Labour Day.
