Police blocked streets in Hong Kong on Sunday as hundreds of activists attempted to hold a silent protest against the National Security Law.
Officers were seen checking protesters who held anti-government banners at the rally near the Jordan station. Several police vehicles arrived later bringing reinforcements.
Under the law, which is expected to be passed before Tuesday Beijing would open an office in Hong Kong to deal with cases related to national security. Protesters believe the move would further erode the city's autonomy.
