The Hong Kong International Airport has greatly increased its sanitation measures, employing the latest disinfecting technologies to combat surface germs that may lead to the spread of illness and further coronavirus infections. The technologies include a disinfection booth, autonomous cleaning robots and antimicrobial coating applied to passenger facilities.
The airport has been testing a novel... Еще «CLeanTech» facility chamber, where workers are asked to enter the portal and receive a full-body spraydown of disinfectant, as seen in the images published by the airport on April 26.
«The safety and well-being of airport staff and passengers are always our first priority. Although air traffic has been impacted by the pandemic, the AA spares no effort in ensuring that the airport is a safe environment for all users. We will continue to look into different measures to enhance our cleaning and disinfection work,» said Steven Yiu, the deputy director of services at the airport.
One other sanitation measure is the 'Intelligent Sterilization Robot' that can reportedly sterilise 99.99 percent of bacteria in any given area in under ten minutes.
Hong Kong reports over 1,000 coronavirus cases and four related deaths.
