Scores of Hondurans gathered to honour the memory of slain indigenous activist Berta Caceres in Tegucigalpa on Friday, on the two-year anniversary of her death. People partook in a commemorative march of 20 kilometres (12,4 miles) throughout her hometown, as they honoured her life's work on indigenous and environmental causes. Caceres was shot two years ago while she was spearheading a... Еще campaign against the construction of a dam financed by Desarrollos Energeticos (DESA). DESA's executive president Roberto David Castillo Mejia, was arrested on Friday on suspicion of being the mastermind behind the murder of the indigenous environmental activist. Eight others had already faced trial over Caceres' murder, including former and active members of the Honduran military.
