Haiti: Chaos hits Port-au-Prince as police protesters demand release of detained officer

Police protesters from '509 Fantom' group flooded the streets of Port-au-Prince, on Monday, as people gathered to demand the release of the police officer reportedly accused of murder, vandalism, destruction of public property, and undermining the state security. Protesters were seen setting a car and debris on fire as well as partly the Reservation and Delivery Center of Identity Documents (CRLDI). Protesters demanded the release of Jean Pascal Alexandre a police officer from the Office for the Fight Against Drug Trafficking, reportedly giving the government a 24-hour ultimatum to meet the demand.
