Greece: Tear-gas billows as police clash with anti-austerity protesters

Clashes erupted between protesters and police in front of the parliament in Athens, Friday, as demonstrators attempted to occupy steps leading to the building in opposition to a fresh raft of austerity measures due to be voted on next week. Police officers deployed tear gas in order to disperse the protesters and succeeded in pushing people back from the building. PAME (All Workers Military... Еще Front) and trade union members have gone on a 24-hour strike in opposition to the austerity bill. The bundle of laws also seeks to restrict the right to strike.
