Protesters clashed with riot police in the Exarchia dristric of Athens, on Thursday, resulting in several arrests, on the 11th anniversary of the killing of 15 year-old Alexis Grigoropoulos by police in 2008.
Footage shows riot police storming and arresting several of the protesters, as well as fire from what reports say were Molotov cocktails.
Grigoropoulos was 15 years old when he was killed... Еще in 2008 by two police officers who were involved in an argument with a group of teenagers in central Athens' Exarcheia district.
The officers were found guilty of murder and of acting as an accomplice respectively.
Grigoropoulos's death resulted in large protests throughout Greece, and solidarity demonstrations around the world. His death is marked every year in several cities across the country, often resulting in violent clashes.
