Greece: Queues form at Bulgarian border as travellers tested for COVID-19

Long queues of cars formed at the border checkpoint Promachonas on Tuesday, as a negative test for coronavirus became compulsory for all visitors entering the country from Bulgaria. Medical staff could be seen taking swabs from people at testing stations, with dozens of cars waiting to pass through the border. Many were reportedly turned back to Bulgaria as they failed to show the required passenger locator form (PLF) with the QR code used to identify random COVID-19 test upon arrival. Last week, Greek authorities announced anyone willing to enter Greece should present a COVID-19 free lab result taken 72 hours before arrival, as a measure to contain imported cases in the country.
