Greece: PM Tsipras announces three days of mourning for fire victims

Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras addressed the nation from Athens on Tuesday, as wildfires continue to ravage Greece, leaving dozens dead and more displaced. «The country is going through an untold tragedy. Tens of lives have been lost and this is unbearable for each of us, but first and foremost for the families who lost their beloved ones,» Tsipras said, in a pre-recorded address. «Greece... Еще mourns and in the memory of those lost, we declare three days of national mourning,» he added. Greek fire fighters are facing wildfires all across Greece, and police have already evacuated several areas in Corinth and Attica. Mandatory credit: AMNA
