Greece: Hundreds of migrants taken by ferry to mainland for deportation

More than 600 migrants who had arrived at Greek islands earlier this month boarded a ferry in the port of Lesvos on Friday. The ship was set to take them to the mainland where they will be deported. The Ministry of Migration and Asylum said the migrants and refugees who reached Greece through Lesvos, Chios and Samos after the deadline had no right to apply for asylum in Europe. They were ordered... Еще to return to their countries of origin. Greece's Eastern Aegian islands have seen a large influx of migrants and refugees reaching the European territory by sea. Lesvos island has been hosting Europe's largest refugee camp — Moria — with 20,000 asylum seekers.
