Around 8,000 fans of the Greek football club PAOK joined an anti-government protest in Thessaloniki on Thursday. They are angry at a complaint with sporting authorities that was launched earlier this week by rivals Olympiakos.
The club from Piraeus claimed that PAOK's chairman violated ownership demanding relegation. PAOK fans accuse the government of siding with the rivals.

Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis threatened to suspend the competition and invited the heads of FIFA and UEFA to hold emergency talks.
