In honour of its first flagship store opening in London, Belgian chocolatier Neuhaus unveiled a replica of the iconic Big Ben clocktower made entirely of its signature dark chocolate inside of the St. Pancras railway station this Monday. The sugary statue reportedly took the store's team over 100 hours to build and contains 45 kg (99 pounds) of chocolate.
Standing at one metre (3.30 feet) tall... Еще, the creation will be available for viewing exclusively at the newly-opened London storefront. Visitors to the station were already being drawn in by the eye-catching sculpture, snapping pictures with their cell phones. All faces of the clock stand at 4 o'clock, a nod to Britain's traditional teatime.
Neuhaus first began making chocolate in 1857 and is credited with being the inventor of the Belgian praline. The confectionery currently also has flagship stores in Berlin, Brussels, and New York.
