Amid ramped-up security measures, WWII aerial bomb was diffused in Nuremberg on Monday.
Police cordoned off areas and blocked roads as locals were evacuated from the impact radius.
Bomb disposal expert Michael Weiss carried on the diffusion close to Nuremberg’s Wohrder See where the UK bomb had been discovered.
«A part is broken off, or even partially detonated, and we still have about 100 kg... Еще of explosive mass in the bomb itself,» said Weiss standing next to the diffused bomb.
The unexploded device was among many still thought to be scattered across Germany, 75 years after the end of the Second World War.
