Former German Foreign Minister Sigmar Gabriel held his first guest lecture at the philosophy department of Bonn University, Monday. His lecture was titled 'Europe in a more uncomfortable world,' in which he discussed what he sees as the mistakes Europe has made in the past and possible solutions to deal with global challenges, especially in regards to relations with Russia. «When we see the... Еще danger of worldwide atomic weapons arsenals in front of us, then it won't be possible to stop this without cooperation between the USA, Russia and also China. That is why we need better relations with Russia,» he stated. At the beginning of his speech, pro-Israel activists disrupted the lecture by hanging a poster, calling Gabriel «Iran-Siggi» and showing their disagreement with what they see as Gabriel’s criticism of the Israeli government. Gabriel explained his views, inviting the handful of students to join his lecture during the summer semester for further discussion.
