Germany: Visitors return to Berlin's Museum Island as coronavirus restrictions eased

Three museums of Berlin's iconic Museum Island have reopened on Tuesday, after a two-month break due to the coronavirus pandemic. Visitors can attend the Alte National Galerie, the Altes Museum and the Pergamon Museum by purchasing a «time slot ticket». Face covering and social distancing are mandatory and the number of people allowed inside the venues per hour is 250. Museum Island, located in... Еще the centre of Berlin, is a World Cultural Heritage Site and was visited by around three million people a year before the outbreak. Several of Berlin's 180 museums and galleries have now reopened, but some national museums, like the Bode Museum in the Museum Island, still remain closed until further notice.
