Germany: Turkish-Islamic Union to train imams abroad for first time

The Turkish-Islamic Union for Religious Affairs (DITIB) will train imams in Germany for the first time. The occasion was marked at a ceremony in Dahlem, North Rhine-Westphalia, on Thursday. The programme will begin with 12 female and 10 male students, all of whom needed a theology degree from a German of Turkish university in order to enrol.
