Germany: Thousands take to Berlin streets for LGBTQ rights march

Thousands of people joined an LGBTQ rights march in Berlin on Saturday, with most participants obeying rules put in place due to the coronavirus outbreak. The march was a replacement for the German capital's normal Christopher Street Day celebrations, which normally feature far more people as well as floats, and a party atmosphere, that were cancelled this year due to the pandemic. Police estimated that 3,500 people had taken part, while organisers stated that 10,000 had joined the march, which went from Nollendorfplatz to Alexanderplatz.
