Three victories over the Top 15 players earned Latvia's Anastasija Sevastova in the second part of the non-WTA exhibition tennis event at Berlin's Tempelhof Hangar on Sunday. Austria's Dominic Thiem, in turn, took the first place in men's Bett1 Aces final.
Sevastova won over Czech player Petra Kvitova with 3-6, 6-3 and 10-5 score. Thiem, in turn, beat his opponent, young Italian star Jannik Sinner with 6-4 and 6-2 scores.
Spectators were allowed to attend the first major sporting event in Germany since the coronavirus pandemic started. Safety precautions like temperature checks, face masks were mandatory with disinfectant booths seen set up at the venue.
