Workers and volunteers were seen delivering a wide range of supplies to quarantined families in Magdeburg on Tuesday.
Essential products such as water, food and medicines were filmed being brought to the residents ordered to isolate themselves after a rise of coronavirus infections. Signs reminding them not so leave their flats, go to work or even go shopping could also be spotted.
According to reports, an estimated number of 800 families living in Magdeburg Neue Neustadt and Salbke districts were put into quarantine over the weekend in an attempt to curb a further spread of the COVID-19.
Germany is currently on a race to test, trace and place buildings under quarantine across the entire country, after several new hot spots of transmissions have been detected in places such as Goettingen, Berlin and the Toennies slaughterhouse the past days.
