Germany: Second shooting rocks Rot am See a day after 6 shot dead

Another shooting took place for the second day in a row in the Baden-Wuerttemberg town of Rot am See on Saturday, only a day after a a deadly shooting claimed six lives on Friday. Footage shows a heavy police presence near the scene of the second shooting. «This morning at 10:45 [local time] we received reports about several shots, which were fired here in this location. Еще deployed a strong amount of forces and called for special unit forces,'' explained Police Spokesperson Bernd Maerkle. «This suspect, that is supposed to have fired the shots, barricaded himself in an apartment afterwards. A few minutes ago, special unit forces seized the man, after they stormed the apartment, and arrested the suspect unhurt,» he added. Maerkle went on to say that there is no information yet about any relation between the two suspects. An investigation is under way and the suspect is in police custody. In the shooting which took place on Friday, the 26-year-old suspect Adrian S. shot and killed six people, two of them his parents, and all allegedly a part of the same family. Police chief Rainer Moeller said the suspect, who is now under arrest, contacted authorities to inform that he had shot several people. According to police, preliminary investigations suggest the shooting was linked to 'a personal relationship' conflict. The suspect is said to have had a gun license.
