Germany: Russian-speaking LGBT+ community holds first 'Marzahn Pride' parade in Berlin

Around 500 people, most of them members of the Russian or Russian-speaking LGBT+ communities took to the streets of the Berlin borough of Marzahn, Saturday. «We came here not only to celebrate but also to say how hard it is to live through rejection and violence, not to be accepted, how painful it is when you have to justify your existence. And, unfortunately, lots of people among us have this sad experience, doesn't matter if it's due to social identity, gender identity, views, where they come from or any other reason,» said one of the protesters. The protesters were seen marching with banners and Pride flags before they rallied in a square of the district to show their support for the LGBT+ community and denounce Russia's treatment of its members.
