Germany: Russia, Germany agree to implement 'mutually beneficial' Nord Stream 2

First Deputy Speaker of the State Duma Alexander Zhukov claimed that both Russian and Germany «agreed that such an important project as Nord Stream 2 should be implemented», after meeting with German Bundestag deputies in Berlin, Tuesday. Deputy Speaker stressed, «our German colleagues expressed a firm believe that this project will benefit both Russia and Germany despite the known political... Еще pressure from the United States, this project should be implemented.» Zhukov, visited the German capital in the framework of the official visit of the Duma delegation along with Pavel Zavalny, Chairman of the Energy Committee. Zavalny touched upon the question of Russian possible restoration in voting rights in the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) saying that such a move was clearly supported. The Russian representatives stressed that the meeting was «fruitful».
