Germany: Refugees recount police raid on shelter after revolt

Hundreds of police raided a refugee shelter in the German town of Ellwangen on Thursday just days after a mob stopped authorities from deporting a 23-year-old Togolese man. A few days earlier, angry migrants surrounded patrol cars and harassed the police as they tried to deport the man. One refugee recounted the raid: «"Because I was very surprised, when they came in, because the last time... Еще, last week, I think on Monday, they came to pick one Togolese guy, so in my building everybody there packed outside, so it was scared, so we think that maybe the police come to take everybody, so now the police have to go because there was six of them, they came with cars, but they have to go, they told to the people that they wanted to fight them.»
