Protesters on bicycle took to the streets of Potsdam on Monday to demand better living conditions for refugees amid the coronavirus crisis.
An alliance of 16 groups called for the protest to denounce refugees' living conditions, who are sometimes crammed in collective accommodations, increasing the danger of contagion. Demonstrators asked for refugees to be moved into apartments instead.
«We fight for life like other normal people here in Germany,» an activist named Simon said.
«We see that the politicians are not always really aware of the fundamental rights and human rights for refugees. Therefore we think that is totally necessary to go on the road on the street and rise up and be loud for human rights for everybody,» he added.
