More than 230 workers had tested positive for coronavirus by Monday following an outbreak of the disease among employees at a meat factory in Coesfeld.
A car was seen driving into the premises of the meat plant on Monday while dozens of lorries sat idle in an adjacent parking lot.

As a result of the outbreak a loosening of the coronavirus requirements has been postponed in the Coesfeld district in the northwestern part of North Rhine-Westphalia. Operations at the slaughterhouse remain closed until May 18.
