German Chancellor Angela Merkel met with Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan in Berlin on Thursday where they held talks on deepening future relations and to look at Armenian progress after they transitioned to a parliamentary system in 2018.
«We will of course talk about a sad topic — the Nagorny Karabakh conflict — today. A solution for that is still pending. And therefore we must have... Еще patience to solve this conflict between Armenia and Azerbaijan that is a burden to many people,» said Merkel.
She did, however, praised Armenia for their transition to a parliamentary system and wishing them to be successful as «it isn't a very easy process.»
Pashinyan met with the German chancellor before making his way to the 56th Munich Security Conference from Friday to Sunday this week.
