German Chancellor Angela Merkel welcomed Israeli President Reuven Rivlin at the Federal Chancellery in Berlin on Tuesday.
Footage shows Rivlin descending from his car and shaking hands with Merkel, before the two leaders enter the Federal Chancellery.

Earlier on Tuesday, Rivlin and his German counterpart Frank-Walter Steinmeier paid a visit to the Jewish Moses Mendelssohn Gymnasium in Berlin and had a meeting with its students.
On Wednesday, Rivlin will give keynote speeches in the German Bundestag as part of the memorial ceremony marking the Day of Remembrance for the Victims of National Socialism. After that, Rivlin is expected to take part in a panel discussion with the participants of the German Bundestag's International Youth Encounter, together with Steinmeier and Bundestag President Wolfgang Schauble.
