Germany: Iran solidarity rally held at the Brandenburg Gate

Some 200 people staged a rally in Berlin on Tuesday, in support of the countrywide anti-government protests in Iran. The protesters held numerous banners expressing solidarity with the protesters, as well as ones calling for freedom for political prisoners. «Solidarity with the Iranian people, they're fighting for a better world, for democratic freedoms, in their own country, in Germany... Еще, everywhere in the world. The Iranian protesters have earned our support,» explained one of the protesters. At least 21 people have died in Iran's anti-government protests that have raged since Thursday, with rallies against rising food prices, unemployment and alleged corruption. Iran's Supreme Leader Sayyid Ali Hosseini Khamenei has blamed 'enemies' for the disruption.
